All requirements must be met within the requested deadlines to successfully apply for the YIA.

• Current ECSS membership before the deadline of abstract submission
• YIA verification form submitted before the deadline of abstract submission
• Congress registration fee paid before the registration deadline for presenting authors
• The top ten candidates of each category (oral/poster) will be announced at the ECSS Congress booth at the congress on Friday afternoon
• Top ten candidates will be invited by Mars Inc. to join the YIA-Cocktail to take place in the evening on congress Friday
• In order to receive their certificate and prize money all prize winners will be asked to be personally present at the Young Investigators Award Ceremony on Saturday afternoon at the congress
• Prize winners who do not attend and accept their prize within the framework of the YIA Ceremony on Saturday cannot be considered for the award prize
